Following are some other sources of traffic: New comers believe that these sources will generate good traffic which unfortunately is not true.
The first place is online directories. I personally have submitted my sites to some directories and in return I got nothing. No traffic at all.
Article directories. From there I personally got only little traffic for few days. This traffic vanished after some time.

After reading some posts in Google Webmaster Groups and in Google blogs, I realized that all we need to do is to make a website with lot of useful and informative rich content added in it.
After that, search engine will send in lot of traffic. So instead of wasting time in trying to get traffic from other small [in fact very very small] sources, why not just concentrate on our own website: search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask etc will send in lot of targeted traffic [if they find our site useful].
So if you want to make money from your website then just concentrate on the quality of your website and leave the rest to the search engines.
