The most difficult thing for a New Comer to Face at a Freelance Site

There are many problems which new comers have to face at freelance sites. The level and type of difficulty depends on the kind of freelancing site where one has started to work.

One of these initial problems that a new comer faces is winning his first project.

It is not very easy to win the first project.

This is a problem that all new comers face no matter at which freelance site they choose to work in.

Why is it difficult to win the first project?

The main reason is that: all freelance sites have a rating/feedback system. Buyers prefer to only outsource work to users who have high ratings. Ratings/feedback are a reputation system that determines the overall credibility of service providers and buyers.

Without good reputation, one cannot easily win projects.

So what should new comers do to get their first job?

The most important thing that all new comers need to understand is that: in the beginning they only need to concentrate on getting ratings/feedbacks and they need to forget about the money that they will be making.

New comers have to work for the lowest rates for buyers. They need to offer low rates because this is the only way to get buyer’s attention if a person has no ratings. Place the lowest available amount of money in your bid if you are a new comer.

Some buyers decide to give work to new comers because they think they may save some money: which they otherwise cannot save if they give the work to a user who has high ratings.
