Types Of Data Entry Jobs: JPG To Word Typing

I saw a project in data entry category that caught my attention. The project was a pure data entry work. When I use the word pure then it means that the project fits the respected category: the most.

Typing jobs are the jobs that are the best example of data entry work. If someone asks for a definition for data entry: then we can simple say that the typing jobs are called data entry work.

Anyway, let’s talk about the project that I saw today:

The work was to type content from images into word documents. The JPG in the title of this post means that the format or the extension of the image is [dot jpg] .jpg.

People sometimes use the letters, JPG, instead of writing the word “image”.

What I found interesting about the project?

The project involved typing 3000 pages into word documents. That is a huge project. I would definitely do this work myself but unfortunately, the buyer stated to pay extremely low money for the whole project.

Can you believe that the buyer wants to pay $0.1 per page?

That will be $300 for the whole project. Imagine the time that is required to write content from 3000 images into word documents.

This work is not just writing content: it is to write content from images. So you can imagine the work that is involved to open one image, look at few words, and then type them down in a word document.

You may open the word document and the image at once so that you can see the image while you can also type but that is still not easy job to do.

This data entry job involves doing work for many days. That is why, the buyer mentioned to hire a team who can do this work. He already knows how tough the job is and that is why he wants to outsource it but is not willing to pay any good money.

I was quite disappointed to see this project at a freelance site. Such projects make freelance sites look cheap and this makes people think that working at freelance sites is a waste of time.
