Yesterday, I got an email from helium which mentioned the new changes they have made.
They have changed the way things work regarding upfront payments.
In the past, writers needed to have at least one writing start and at least one rating star in order to qualify for upfront payments. But starting from 1st of July, 2009, writers no longer need a rating star in order to get upfront payments.
This change will surely help writers to earn more money without worrying about a Rating Star.
However, writers still need to have a rating star in order to qualify for receiving daily revenue sharing.
There is no change in the rating star requirement for daily revenue sharing.
There is also a sad news.
Starting from 1st of July, 2009, they will no longer give upfront payments to articles posted under a title with 5 or more articles already submitted.
Helium will now only pay upfront payment if the article is submitted under a title that has less than 5 articles being posted under it.
This really is a sad news as I was thinking about writing articles under all available titles at helium.
Remember that you do need a rating star if you want to qualify for the daily revenue sharing.
