GAF has changed its affiliate program. In the past, we used to earn 100% money that is generated by the users that we refer. Unfortunately, this 100% commission policy has been changed.
I noticed this change just recently.
So what is the new commission rate for referrals at GAF?
The new commission rate is now 90%.
This means that if you have referred a person: let’s say: Person A to GAF and this Person A upgrades to Gold Membership via paying the fee of $12.
In the past, the person who referred this Person A, used to get all $12 fee: but now, this person will get $10.8 instead of $12.
$10.8 is 90% of $12.
The remaining $1.2 will now go in GAF’s account?
Obviously, people who were/are referring people to GAF will now earn little less money: but still, GAF has the best affiliate program.
No other freelance site gives this much commission to the people who refer members to their site. When GAF was giving 100% fee, that really was an amazing offer and I have always wondered: why GAF will give all the money they earn to their affiliate partners?
I guess GAF just wanted to expand their freelance market and wanted to get as many members as possible.
So now it’s time to stop referring people to GAF?
No: not at all. GAF had the best referral program and GAF still have the best affiliate program.
At other freelance sites, you will only get 10% or such commission rate.
Now if GAF give 90% commissions to users and other freelance sites give something like 10% commission rate.
Then which affiliate program is more attractive?
Off course, GAF is providing the best commission rates in their affiliate program.
Will this change have any affects on normal service providers who do not participate in GAF’s affiliate program?
Not at all:
This change will only have a small impact on the money that people were making via GAF’s affiliate program. If you are not involve in affiliate activity and that you are just making money via doing online jobs at GAF then you do not have to worry about this change.
This affiliate program commission rate change will have no effect of any kind on normal service provider’s income: who are doing freelance jobs at GAF.
