Today, I received an email from Scriptlance that contained a newly generated password for my SL account. I did not request this new password: it was automatically generated by SL.
SL is doing this password update after every few months. I remember that SL has changed my password 2 times before this latest change. The first time when SL announced that they are going to change Passwords for all users for security reason: I think that announcement was made a year ago.
Do any other freelance sites do this password changing stuff?
I personally have accounts at 6+ freelance sites but I never got any email regarding the change of password.
So, SL is the only site in the world that is doing this stuff?

For SL and many other sites where new passwords are generated after certain time period, users do not have any option to stop this feature. This change of password is compulsory for everyone.
Is this password changing any good for the users?
Sites change passwords of users in order to make sure that everyone’s account is safe. Regular changing of passwords can help to secure accounts of users so this is for the benefits of the users of a site.
You should not worry about this password change. Just copy the password from the email you got from SL and paste it in the login area at SL and select to save the password.
Just keep in mind that scammers may be finding a way to use this SL password upgrade email to scam users.
