Today: Wednesday, 11th of November, 2009: users at GAF might have faced a problem while using GAF’s PMBs [Private Message Boards]. GAF has issued a news/update according to which, there was some issue at GAF’s back-end which may have caused a problem where the users would fail to see the message(s) which they post in PMBs.
You can see this news via going to “Manage Account” area. On the “Home Page”, you can see this news/alert/update at the very top. You can also see this news in the “Latest News” section.
According to GAF, there was some issue in one of their server’s data base.
The important thing to note here is that: all the messages that you may have posted in PMBs, are not lost. These messages are saved but the only problem is that, these messages were [only currently] not visible to anyone.
GAF has mentioned that they have temporarily Stopped the Search Feature in the site. I think the problem in their data base can be an overload caused by too many searches.
GAF is working on solving this issue and we can hope to see it resolved anytime now.
Till then, you can consider communicating, with buyers, only via PMs. I know, this is not possible in all cases as one have to first place a bid on a project before he/she can send buyer a PM. But this is the only possible way to communicate, [in the current situation] with buyers, while the PMB is not working.
