GAF has announced the Top 10 Finalists of the Logo Competition

Wow, this is very exciting news. GAF has finally announced the top 10 finalists of the Logo competition. Along with that: GAF has opened voting for the People’s Choice Award.

For this voting, we have to choose [or vote for] the logo that we think is the best. GAF is going to choose a logo from the top 10 for their new site Freelancer.com: where we users can vote for one logo to get People’s Choice Award. The winner of this award will get the prize money of $2500.

As the prize money is high, therefore make sure you vote for the logo that you think is the best.

Now here is a very interesting thing about the top 10 finalists of GAF logo competition.

Can you believe that most of these finalists don’t even have one rating? Most of them have never placed a bid on any project ever. There are 3 users: one with 10 ratings another with 6 or so ratings and one service provider has one rating.

I was shocked to see this: I was very interested to see the finalists as I wanted to see which of top GAF Graphics designers are in the list. Some GAF service providers who are in the list of having “most ratings at GAF” are logo designer and these users did submitted their logo in the competition.

So I was interested in seeing which top user is going to become more famous by winning this competition. To my surprise, no top rated user is in the top 10 finalists.

A possible reason can be that: top rated users have to do lot of work. They have to complete their projects at GAF where the users with no ratings have all the time in the world to concentrate only on this competition. This gave much more time to people with no/less ratings to make a better Logo and the same reason gave less time to top rated users.

Also, many people may have joined GAF just to participate in the competition and to earn $15000 via winning it. I wrote about this competition few weeks back: just like that, many people may have talked about it which attracted many new users who were interested in participating in the competition.

Anyway, if you have little spare time: then do consider voting for the People’s Choice Award and stay tuned for the winners announcements.
