When the current competition [Exposing GAF’s Logo] started: I was pretty much sure that in order to win this competition, one will need to promote GAF’s new logo to real people in real life and that we cannot do that on the internet.
But later, I saw the submitted entries in the competition and all those entries were just photoshopped work. Some of the entries where quite good: but they were just edited pictures and most of them could not be done in real life. Like if someone posted GAF’s logo on a rock in Mars, then can we really do that in reality? : )
Then I thought maybe I was wrong and that GAF is just looking for some unique and interesting photoshopped image or video.
Anyway: the first important thing is that GAF has added a new prize/category in their list of prizes for the current competition. For this new category: the prize money is one thousand dollars and this will be awarded to the person who will post the best photoshopped image or video.
GAF has posted some explanation: any person who will submit a photoshopped image or video can win $1000 but in order to win the grand prize: $10, 000 or other prize money for 2nd…. Etc positions, the photoshopped image/video has to be seen by lot of real people. This can be done on the internet or in real like: on the internet one can do this via making the image/video very popular on major image/video sharing related sites: that way lot of people will see it.
Some of the submitted entries can be done in real life. Like posting the logo in giant Billboard, or making a giant Kite or creating the logo via smoke in the sky with the help of airplanes [can be quite costly : ) ].
Basically, we have to do something where real people [online or offline] can see GAF logo. And for pure photoshopped work, you can only earn $1,000.
