GAF has Stopped Accepting Entries for T Shirt Competition

GAF has posted news in their site: according to which, GAF has paused the T-Shirt design contest. So it means that users can no longer submit new entries in this competition.

Why was this competition put on hold?

GAF has stated a reason for this decision. The main culprits to blame are some spammers who were submitting spam entries in this contest. GAF had a section in their helpdesk where we could submit our entries for this contest: unfortunately, some spammers got information about this contest and they spammed the submission form at the helpdesk.

I guess the spammers submitted hundreds of spam entries in this contest and that is why GAF have stated that they are finding it difficult to distinguish/find real/legit entries. The reason is obvious: the real/legit entries are buried under a load of lot of spam entries.

I am feeling very uncomfortable as now GAF may think twice before opening another contest. This will affect many people who were looking forward to win the T-shirt contest or were looking to see more contests at GAF.

Anyway, if you were designing a T-shirt for GAF then do not get disappointed: keep working on your design as GAF has stated that they will re-open the contest once they create a gallery of the legit entries. Because of the fake entries, it may take some time for GAF to build up the gallery.
