Lately, there have been some really exciting/amazing/surprising developments being made at GAF. Here is a list of some of the recently noticeable events:
GAF has acquired a new domain Freelancer(dot)com:
Getafreelancer(dot)com: This is the address we type in our browsers to open this freelance site right? All sites have a domain name: like our site is:
A1newspapers.com
All domains need to pay a yearly fee. If someone does not pay this fee, then the domain name gets expired and someone else is able to buy it.
GAF has bought a new domain which is: Freelancer(dot)com
It looks like this domain got expired and GAF bought it : )
GAF Name Change
This domain name was quite attractive for GAF: so attractive that they have decided to change their website name from Getafreelancer to just Freelancer. I still use the old name, in writing articles, as I like it a lot : )
As the name of GAF got changed, there was a need to change the logo too.
GAF Logo Competition:
After changing name of the site, GAF was in need to get a new: more attractive and meaningful logo for their new name. So GAF decided to start a competition where any user could participate.
This contest was to create the best new/fresh Logo with GAF’s new name.
There were multiple prizes offered in this competition. The most attractive prize was for the winner of this competition: prize money was $15,000.
The user who earned this sum for winning this competition was: EDVANS
Many people were interested in this competition and many users joined GAF just to participate in it.
GAF Logo Expose Contest:
After the success of GAF Logo Competition, GAF started another contest where the first prize is of $10,000. This competition is still open as I am writing this article.
However, this contest does not look to be as successful as GAF logo competition was.
Multiple prizes are offered in this contest and currently around 10 days are left till this contest ends.

In the past few weeks, GAF has started multiple contests. Two of them are already mentioned above: third contest is:
T-Shirt Design Contest:
GAF had started a contest where the participants needed to design a T-Shirt for GAF.
Unfortunately, this contest is currently halted because of some issues but we can hope to see it open again very soon.
Monthly suggestion contest:
Users can easily earn $100 via suggesting any feature to GAF. Every month, one winner is announced whose suggestion is chosen as the best suggestion.

And lastly, GAF has bought Freelancer(dot)co(dot)uk. This site was a separate freelance site but now, it belongs to GAF and very soon, we can expect to see some major changes in this site.
