Here I am writing about yet another downtime at FL. I am quite confused about these increasing numbers of downtimes at FL. What is happening here? Why are we seeing so many downtimes?
In the past, there were like almost zero downtimes…
I personally am not sure what is the reason is: I can only guess.
First possible reason can be that: FL is doing so many changes in their site. Recently, the whole freelance site was moved from one domain [Getafreelancer(dot)com] to the other one [Freeelancer(dot)com]. Then the whole design of the site was change and etc. But wait, I remember to have seen these downtime started before all these changes were made.
Then perhaps the reason can be the increased number of users who are joining FL and the increasing number of online jobs that are being posted by buyers.
May be FL needs to get some faster servers to handle the increasing number of users and projects in their freelance market.
Anyway, the latest downtime I saw was yesterday which lasted for at least half an hour. The message I saw was: “FL is temporary down, Please try after 1-2 minutes”. Unfortunately, the site was not back online when I checked it multiple times in 30 minutes time period.
Let’s hope that FL will soon do something about this downtime issue.
