Buyers can open few different types of jobs at SL. One is normal project: another one is where buyer pays $5 as a refundable fee [pre paid projects] and in the last comes Job Listings.
To post a job listing, a buyer needs to pay $39.
SL’s job listing and FL’s featured [Update: now Fl has a new type which is called Full Time] job posting is the same thing.
If a buyer wants to hire a person for an ongoing job: or if someone is looking for a business partner: or if someone wants to hire a person for his company etc: then he is required to open a job listing.
Job listings get much more exposure than the normal projects. Buyers get lot more bids and more quality users apply.
Another feature of this type of project is that: buyer and programmers are allowed to post/share contact information which is not allowed in normal projects.
