When Using Payoneer Debit Card, why is the Exchange Rate lower than rates released by NB of Pakistan?

You have to understand that when you are dealing with Banks in Pakistan, you will come across different kinds of exchange rates. These different rates are used by Banks or payment processors in different situations.

For example: you can see the latest Exchange Rate List released by NB of Pakistan via this URL:

www (dot) nbp (dot) com (dot) pk/RateSheet/RateSheet.pdf

In the above mentioned list, you can see more than one Buying/Selling rate for different currencies.

Now if you go here:

www (dot) pakremit (dot) com/info_exrates.php

You will see a completely different Conversion Rate for US Dollar. The second link goes to a website which also belongs to NBP.

I will write in detail, why there are different conversion rates for US Dollar in the upcoming posts:

Now coming back to the main question:

Why do I get lower conversion rate when I am getting my money via Payoneer Debit Card in Pakistan?

Well it is because the money you are getting is classified as remittance and in the second link, which I just mentioned above, you can clearly see that when someone is sending you money from another country, then the given official conversion rate by NBP is lower [approximately 2 to 3 rupees less than the open market rate or the rate you can see in the first link given above]
