There are some countries where, unfortunately, both PayPal and Moneybookers are not supported. One of such countries is Nigeria. Several users in our forum, who are from this country, have asked about the money withdrawal option that they can use at Elance.
Elance is a highly professional website: unlike many other freelance sites, Elance give you the option to withdraw your money via Wire Transfer.
This option is available for all countries. Via this option you can get your money directly into your Bank Account. Majority of other freelance sites Do Not support this option. This makes Elance much more preferable site to work at.
You can get your money in the Local Currency or you can get it in US Dollars.
If for some reason, you cannot or you do not want to use the above withdrawal option then you can choose to get paid via Elance Prepaid Debit card.
After logging in at Elance, click on Manage and then on Financial Accounts. Here you can see the following option:
Payoneer Prepaid MasterCard
Below this heading you can see this: Signup for a New Account
Click on this option to receive Elance Prepaid Debit card at your postal address.
Note that: I personally prefer Not to use this option as their Fee Structure looks Expensive. But in case you have no other option, then you can choose to get paid via Debit Card.
You will first receive a Debit card at your postal address. After you activate it, you will then be able to load money in your card from Elance. After that, you can go to any ATM machine in your city and use the card to get your money in your Local Currency.

I want to register with Elance and scriptlance for online jobs presently.
My plan is to open an account when i get to Ghana for the online payments.

Yes, you can register and start working: If you choose to be paid via Debit Card, then you can request it now if you are not moving for like 45 days. It can take this much time for the card to arrive.
You can use this card in any ATM machine to get your money.
