9 people died in Chater Park, Islamabad, Pakistan

People were celebrating the 61st Independence Day in Chater Park, Islamabad. A disaster hit these people leaving 9 died.

According to the authorities, 14 people drowned in the water. Those people were playing in a lake when suddenly the water flow increased because of the flooded water that came from the northern areas.

It is the raining reason in northern areas and authorities already had warned people about the possible flood in lake that is inside the Park. But there were no actions taken to prevent people from going into the lake.

This really is sad news. This event has occurred on our Independence Day.

According to the latest news update: out of 14 drowned people, 5 were rescued while 9 died. In these 9 died people, most were children.

    Assalam O Alaikum ! that sad incident happened on independance day and 3 young brothers aged 23,21 and 18 were named Waqas,Asif and saqib sons of Muhammad Tariq died.They were living in Muslim town Rawalpindi and my neighbours and like my family members.As dead bodies of two brothers reached in area,a very sad and mourning atmosphere made due to sad and untimely demise of these innocent kids.The deadbody of elder brother found later on and taken to Murree civil hospital and burried after 3 days of first ones.Please tell every one not to visit rivers and nullahs in rainy days specially in hilly areas.Thankyou
