Today, 1st of January, 2010, KSE and all banks in Pakistan remained closed. The reason was the strike called because of some recent unfortunate events in the country.
In USA the stock markets were closed due to the New Year holiday.
On 29th of Dec, 09, KSE issued a notice according to which the stock market got closed earlier. Trading at KSE ended on this day at 2:15 PM instead of the normal trading closing time. The reason KSE mentioned was the unavailability of transport in the city which caused problems for both the investors and for the employees of KSE to come to work at KSE.
