Wateen USB and WiMAX Monthly Charges are Same

Please note that the money we need to pay for the internet we use via Wateen USB device and via Wateen WiMAX device is the Same.

There is no difference in the rates/charges which Wateen charges for the internet that we get/use via WiMAX device and the internet which we get/use via Wateen USB device.

I am writing this post just to inform people in Pakistan about this small and very basic thing which some people do not seem to know.

There is a rent which users have to pay for using Wateen device. This rent is same for USB/WiMAX. Currently, this rent is Rs. 99.

However, there is a small difference in the amount of money which we need to pay monthly for USB and WiMAX. For the USB device, we do not need to pay any monthly telephony charges: where for WiMAX, paying for telephony is must.

Currently, there are two telephony packages offered which have different monthly line rents: Rs. 90 and Rs. 150.

Let’s say you want 256 KBPS connection with 5 GB download limit: [Subscription and other One-Time applicable charges not included]

Monthly charges for WiMAX:

Rs. 499 [monthly connection charges] + Rs. 99 [CPE Rent] + Rs. 90 [Telephony] = Rs. 688.00

Monthly charges for USB:

Rs. 499 [monthly connection charges] + Rs. 99 [Rent] + No Telephony = Rs. 598.00
