Ok, the news of Spider Man 4 being cancelled is now confirmed: breaking hearts of many Previous Spider Man Franchise Fans. Columbia Pictures [owned by Sony] has decided to remake Spider Man which means that the current [or previous] 3 installments of Spider Man franchise is now finished/over.
We will now see a whole new Spider Man franchise with new cast and a new director. From what I have heard, the director of the movie [Sam Raimi] and the Hero [Tobey Maguire], both were unhappy with the Story/Script of the cancelled Spider Man 4th Installment.
No one knows for sure what exactly has happened. Currently, there are lots of rumors than real facts. I saw an article where it was mentioned that: may be the reason for the hero to not being interested in latest script can be that: the production team wanted to bring the franchise to the origin. That is: the story was moved back to college days of the hero. The author of that article said that Tobey Maguire is 35+ years old: so maybe he didn’t wanted to do such a Young Role? : )
Whatever the real reasons are: we do know that Spider Man 4 is no more being in production and is now cancelled. And a new Spider Man franchise will now start: and first movie may get released in 2012.
Another rumor is about the next Spider Man hero. Some say that will be: Robert Pattinson: the Twilight hero. But some people think that Robert will not be fit for the role and that he cannot become the next Spider Man hero.
Well I guess we need to wait for some time to see what the future will bring for millions of SM fans.
