If you read some of my previous posts where I have compared Wateen Broadband and PTCL, you will see that I always have preferred PTCL. One of the reasons for my preference is the very few [to none] downtimes of internet service in PTCL compared with Wateen [I am talking about my personal experience with these internet providers].
But today and on the day before yesterday, PTCL was not working for hours. First on Sunday, 24 Jan, 10: at around 5:00 PM, I noticed that the internet was not working. I re-started the device and saw that the Internet Light was not blinking.
I waited for few minutes and then started the device again but it continued to not work. Then from 5:00 PM to around 09:00 PM, I checked the internet multiple times but it was not working. I think at around 10:45 PM, I finally saw the internet working again.
Then just today at around 12:00 PM, internet again stopped to work.
I was working on my PC [updating my sites and for that, I was using the internet]:
The today’s downtime was not as long as the previous one. I think the internet started to work after 2 or 3 hours.
One more thing: when the internet was not working on Sunday, I also noticed there was some problem with the phone [PTCL]. I was not able to call my friend who lives in another city. I tried for many times but always heard this message: “All lines are busy ….. Please try later”
Update: after writing this post, I tried to open my site so that I can submit this post. Unfortunately, before I can post: there is [again] a downtime and the internet was not working again. This downtime has started at around 6:55 PM. I will now wait until the internet is available again.
Update: ok, this time the downtime lasted for only minutes and the internet started to work after 10 or so minutes. But that was not all: at around 9:00 PM, there was another downtime. I do not exactly know for how long it lasted. I checked after 2 hours and it was working then.
I think I should now stop updating about the downtimes as it seems to me that PTCL is having a series of frequent DTs. These DTs are not good for the reputation of PTCL.
