I just saw this news on some site and was quite surprised. PP has currently stopped all the personal payments to or from India. Actually, what is happening is that: PP is reversing all the transactions that are made as personal payments.
According to a source, PayPal will soon make changes in their site so that personal transactions can automatically be stopped by the website. Currently, people may make such payments, but PP will reverse them.
This news will create problems for people who are working at different freelance sites. A saw a notice at a site in which it was stated that all the money which they had sent to the users in India was sent back to them.
Some people believe that this is only a temporary issue and we can expect to see a solution in sometime.
People can still receive payments which are done for selling/buying goods/services. For such transactions, a shipping address is needed.
