Google introduces new Keywords Feature in GWMTs

Just now, I noticed some major change in Google Webmaster Tools [GWMTs]. On the dashboard under Top Search Queries: we can now see whole new set of data.

On the dashboard, we can see three headings:

Query
Impressions
Clickthrough

We can now see the number of impressions that our site/pages has for a search of a particular keyword and we can also see the number of times users have clicked on our site/page.

These new stats will help webmasters to know how well their sites/pages are performing in SERPs.

Clicking on More will bring up a new interface where we can see a lot more options/features.

On the top is a graph showing us the number of impressions and the clickthrough rate. There are other available options too: like we can change the country where we wish to see these stats: we can select/change date for the stats: we can see stats for a specific data range.

These are a whole new set of stats that Google has just added in GWMTs: I personally have found these stats very useful. I will now go and do some more research : )

This new feature will help webmasters a lot.

  1. How many sites can we add in Google Webmaster Tools?
  2. Why was Google Toolbar Search History limited to 10 or so entries?
  3. Google Forum will now have 20 Levels
  4. How to contact Google or any Google Employee?
  5. Google now sends a confirmation message for Re-Consideration Requests
