Ok, I am writing about yet another downtime of PTCL Broadband service. Due to some reasons, I was unable to check the internet before 6:00 PM on 26 May, 10: but when I tried to use the internet at around 6:00, the internet was not working.
I restarted the device multiple times but it did not help.
I re-checked multiple times and there was no internet for several hours.
I then decided to contact PTCL support. After few minutes, someone answered my call and the support person told me that there was some service issue in our region [Abbottabad].
He said that the internet service will be restored within 24 hours. At that point, I stopped to check whether the internet is available or not, anymore, and thought that this might time a while before the service is restored.
Thankfully, at around 9:00 PM, I saw the yellow light in the device glowing again : )
Update: today, 27th May 10, there was yet another downtime.
I checked the internet at around 2:00 PM and it was not working: then I waited for hours and just like yesterday, the internet started to work at around 9:00 PM.
This downtime is quite annoying and it is happening quite regularly now. I am now starting to think about an alternative internet connection:
