Very low share volume recorded at KSE: 1st July 10

I personally have not seen this much low share volume at KSE in my life : )

The number of trades is way down and other figures are also not impressive.

These days, the amount of trading at KSE seems to be quite limited and in normal days, we see 50 thousand to 90 thousand trades in one day. But today, this figure is around 20,000.

Also, the share volume is approximately 20 Million which is a very low.

I was reading few articles where the author mentioned that today’s share volume was the lowest volume ever recorded in the history of KSE : )

I have failed to confirm this information but it looks like this info is true.

What can be the possible reason for these record low volume figures?

Today is 1st of July right? So what possible reason comes to one’s mind?

According to different news sources, the Capital Gain Tax was supposed to be implemented on this very day.

Capital gain tax has been an issue for the investors for quite some time now: we were seeing decrease in share volumes for the past few weeks but today’s figures are extraordinary low.
