Few months back, I decided to upgrade my work PC: I wanted to have a dual monitor system but as I don’t play games on this PC, I just needed a low power 3d card. So I went for Palit GT 220 [1GB DDR3].
In this card there are two display ports: one DVI and one VGA port: so I believe attaching two monitors to this card is possible. But this card did not work for me when I attached the second LCD.
On attaching the second monitor, the primary one started to display black screen. If I attached just one LCD to either of the ports then it was working but not when both were attached.
I am no expert but I believe the following is the cause:
1. May be this card does not support dual monitor system?
2. Or maybe the card that I bought was Faulty?
Bottom line: if this card is not working for you, then simply return it to the shopkeeper and get some other model. I have done some research and have found lot of users who have complained about this card: they say it develops different faults after sometime.
