This article does not contain any charts that can show you the FPS comparison between GTX 260 and HD 5750: but I can tell you that such comparison will simply shows you that GTX 260 is better than HD 5750. If you don’t believe this then search for such charts in Google.
I personally have two PCs. Currently, one PC has one GTX 260 and the other one has HD 5750. One PC is used for playing games and the other one is used for managing my Websites and doing other stuff on the internet.
Can I swap these two cards in my systems?
No, because both cards are doing their work at best.
Following are the few things that I have to say about HD 5750:
It supports 3 monitors. This is what I needed for my Work PC.
This card is Not Power Hungry compared to GTX 260. I believe its power consumption is less than half of the Max power that is consumed by GTX 260. My Work PC runs continuously, 24/7, so power consumption is a big factor for me.
This card is Very Quiet.
One of the best things about this card is that you can easily Overclock or Underclock it. As I don’t play games in my Work PC, I have underclock it. This reduces the power consumption and the card temperature remains low.
Now let us talk about GTX 260:
This card makes quite a noise.
Its power consumption rate is high. I think it consumes about 180 watts where HD 5750 needs max 80 or so watts.
It is a Big Card, so may not fit in in small PC casing : )
But for games, this card still is powerful. I have played latest games in 3D and this card delivers excellent performance.
I have tried so many different ways to lower the clock speed of this card but all efforts in vain. I wanted to lower its clock while doing other things on this PC instead of playing games but I failed to reduce its default clocks.
Bottom line: both these cards have their own advantages and disadvantages. What card should you choose? Well if you want to play games then GTX 260 still can provide excellent performance. You can get a Used card from Ebay for like 50 pounds. And if you need a low power consuming card that can support 3 monitors then HD 5750 is the best.
