Firefox: How to get rid of OOPP error: Out of Process Plugin Error

Are you seeing an Out of Process Plugin error in Firefox very often?

This error shows up randomly and causes instability issues for you?

Firefox introduced the OOPP feature to actually increase the stability of their browser and it is supposed to Not Crash if Java or other plugins not responding. But I don’t know why but for me, this feature created more problems. I finally decided to disable it after seeing a OOPP error several times and after I had to restart the browser so many times.

Here is what you need to do:

Open Firefox and type this in the address bar:

about:config

Press enter and then pass the Warning Message.

You will see a Filter bar at the top. Type this in it:

dom.ipc.plugins

Now you will see a list of entries. For the first six entries, you will see a True Value: you can change all the six entry values to False or you can leave the first one True and make the other five False.

After I personally made this change, I no longer saw this OOPP error again.
